Welcome to Advanced Dental Implant Center of Phoenix, my name is Dr. Christian Westermeier. As a 4th generation dentist, I am very excited to provide you with high-end surgical and restorative dentistry.
My roots are in Buffalo, NY where I spent most of my life learning to love being outside, snow or sunshine. Having attended both high school and college at Jesuit institutions, I developed a strong passion for community service. While obtaining my DDS at the University at Buffalo Dental School, I furthered my commitment to service by becoming the president of our outreach group, BOCA. There I was able to learn how impactful it is to help someone be able smile again.
I believe implant dentistry is the best, and only true tooth replacement solution. From my early involvement in the dental field as a dental assistant in an implant focused practice, I knew I wanted to be able to provide implant dentistry to my patients. I became a prosthodontics major in dental school where I began to hone my implant knowledge, and later completed an implant based AEGD residency program at Implant Pathway to advance my dental implant skill set. I love my profession and enjoy getting to provide implant dentistry at Advanced Dental Implant Center every day, as well as helping educate other dentists about dental implants.
My past experience as co-surgical director in a large not-for profit implant center has accustomed me to many unique and challenging single tooth and full arch implant cases. Additionally, I have helped mentor and teach other aspiring implant dentists at Implant Pathway, ranging from simple to complex implant procedures.
I have seen first-hand how intimidating the dental office can seem, especially when it comes to any surgical procedures. If you find yourself at all hesitant to come to our office, I am happy to tell you that we offer all levels of sedation to help your experience and treatment go as smoothly and enjoyable as possible.
When I am not in the dental office I enjoy hiking, skiing, swimming, rollerblading, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills. I love going on adventures and exploring new places whenever I get the chance. Otherwise, my love for implant dentistry drives me to seek continuing education courses where I learn to advance and perfect my implant services.
I look forward to meeting you at our office and helping create your perfect smile, cheers!

Advanced Dental Implant Center are part of a professional affiliation of dental implant practices operated by oral surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, and restorative dentists. With the specialized techniques used by Advanced Dental Implant Center, such as zygomatic and pterygoid implants, nearly all patients qualify for same day dental implants from a dental perspective. Prospective patients require an initial workup that includes an oral examination, 3D radiographic evaluation, and medical history consultation. Some patients with certain medical histories may not qualify for surgical treatment. “Teeth-in-a-day”, “one day implant teeth”, “same day implant teeth”, etc. refers to the fact that on the day of surgery, patients will have teeth removed (unless all teeth are already missing, dental implants placed, and a screw retained prosthesis secured to these implants on the same day as the surgery. While this first set of teeth are permanent in the fact that they are secured to the dental implants by screws, these teeth are typically not the final set of teeth as the patient will be allowed to heal prior to the delivery of the final set of teeth. Furthermore, the patient will be allowed to suggest desired changes to the initial set of teeth prior to the fabrication of the final set of teeth. The initial set of screw retained implant teeth are permanent in the fact that they are not removable by the patient and can only be removed by personnel in a dental office. With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime depending on the age of the patient when the implants were originally placed. Studies show that dental implants can last over 25 years with proper home care and regular professional maintenance.
